TRENDnet's 24-Port Switch Featured in CHIP Computer Magazine CHIP Computer Magazine (3/1/2001)
"Extremely Attractive Price and Also Offers Lifetime Warranty."
CHIP Computer Magazin, a Romanian Publication featured TRENDnet's TE100-S2424 24-port NWay Rack Mount Switch in their March 2001 issue.
TRENDnet's TE100-S2424 was tested under the "Bancul de Proba" section, a section designed to test various new items sent from companies, no matter what type of component it may be.
TRENDnet's TE100-S2424 dual-speed switch forms part of TRENDnet's LAN Cruiser line of products. It can be utilized in developing a local network with 24 ports causing little data traffic. The set up of the network is done very easily, since there is no management and each port configures itself through auto-negotiation with the connected devices. The standard utilization for this purpose is ANSI/IEEE 802.3 NWay auto-negotiation. For uplink, you can utilize any port, crossover cable, or port #12, for which a MDI-II UTP RJ-45 connector is provided. A normal cable can also be used with this connector.
The switch also features 2 supports and the necessary screws for mounting the switch in a 19-inch rack. Besides the products' extremely attractive price, the manufacturer also offers lifetime warranty."
TRENDnet's TE100-2424 is the most flexible way to increase network performance and manageability. The built-in fiber expansion slots allow links between two switches or between a switch and a server. TRENDnet's TE100-S2424 works well in both the corporate and small business environments.
