TRENDnet (3/19/2008)

TORRANCE, Calif. –March 19, 2008–TRENDnet, a best-in-class networking manufacturer of wired and wireless networking solutions today announces the use of TRENDnet’s 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit (model TK-207K), to save civilization as we know it in episode 8 of the hit television series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The episode begins when Derek, a freedom fighter from the future, is sent to the present to prevent the inception of a deadly Artificial Intelligence program. Derek quickly teams up with Sarah Conner and discovers vital information about an ongoing data center project taking place in City Hall. The data center will over time gain artificial intelligence and ultimately aid in the creation of SkyNet-a program that attempts to destroy and enslave mankind in the blockbuster Terminator movies. The two quickly devise a plan to infect the center with a software virus.

Using underground tunnels, Sarah and Derek bypass City Hall’s security, blow up an entrance to an elevator shaft and sneak inside City Hall’s data center. They use TRENDnet’s 2-Port USB KVM Switch Kit (model TK-207K), to expeditiously download a virus that inhibits the development of computer intelligence. In the heat of the moment, alarms sound and they escape with two police officers hot on their trail. It is a close escape indeed!

“We were not surprised that a freedom fighter from the future chose TRENDnet’s highly reliable KVM switch to aid in the execution of their mission critical task,” stated Brian Chu, IT Director for TRENDnet. “More and more people from the present are discovering the quality and reliability of TRENDnet products.”
