Question: Is it true that not all Powerline products work together?
Answer: Correct. Not all Powerline products work together. Two primary chipset manufacturers, DS2 and Intellon, are not currently interoperable. Additionally, older 85Mbps Powerline products may not work with newer 200Mbps products.

Question: What type of chipset do you use in your Powerline products?
Answer: TRENDnet has a long history of working closely with Intellon. Chipsets from other manufacturers have been known to overheat, making TRENDnet’s decision to use Intellon chipsets an easy one.
