The WIFFIES Awards recognize companies that showcase innovative Wi-Fi messaging.

TRENDnet was awarded gold in the crowded Packaging category and silver in the competitive Print Advertising category. The Packaging and Print Advertizing categories featured entries from Sony, Motorola, Nokia, France Telecom/Orange, Linksys, D-Link, NETGEAR and TRENDnet. Brands were judged on Wi-Fi messaging and overall branding impact of the given marketing vehicle.

Wi-Fi Certification assures consumers that respective products meet the highest quality wireless networking standards. Independent Wi-Fi Certification testing validates backward compatibility with wireless products based on older specifications, compatibility with other wireless networking brands and compliance with the respective 802.11 specification as defined by the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
