Laptop Magazine awarded 5 out of 5 stars to TRENDnet’s innovative TEW-429UB HotSpot Detector + 802.11g USB 2.0 Adapter

Torrance, CA – November 14, 2005 –TRENDnet, a best-in-class networkingmanufacturer of wired and wireless networking solutions was awardedLaptop Magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award for its TEW-429UB WiFi Detector +802.11g USB 2.0 Adapter. The review of the product will be featured in the December 2005 issue scheduled to go on sale November 15th.

The review titled, HotSpot Hunter, highlighted the main features of the recently launched two-in-one solution. Special attention was paid to the TEW-429UB’s compact size, easy-to-read LCD display and dual functionality. The Laptop Labs team ran a number of performance tests to determine the quality of the unit’s ability to detect and connect to WiFi 802.11b/g signals. The lab team commented, “In our tests, the TRENDnet found every network in a 600-foot radius. Download speeds were constant and the device even supports WPA and WPA-PSK security.” Based on features and performance, Laptop went on to say “..this two-in-one WiFi device is the best in its class.” awarding the unit its highest ranking of 5 out of 5 stars.
