Torrance, CA - February 6, 2006 — TRENDnet, a best-in-class networking manufacturer of wired and wireless networking solutions, today announced that it is introducing a new comprehensive antenna line including omni and directional antennas, antenna cables and accessories for indoor and outdoor applications. This broad range of antenna products will allow end users to extend range and increase signal strength for high performance dual-band 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g, 5GHz 802.11a IEEE compliant networks.

Key to TRENDnet’s indoor antenna offerings is its flexible modular design concept empowering users with the option to attach their directional or omni antenna directly to their wireless devices for high dBi gain without antenna cable signal loss / attenuation or to relocate their directional or omni antenna to a more optimal position / orientation for line of site between wireless client and wireless AP / base stations. The antennas can also be rotated 360 degrees and tilted 180 degrees to lock-in the optimum range position.

The new TEW-AI75OB includes an indoor omni-directional antenna with wall / ceiling mounting base, which delivers spherical polarization within a 100 yard range at 5 decibels (dBi) of signal gain within the 802.11b/g 2.GHz frequency range as well as 7 decibels (dBi) of signal gain within the 802.11a 5.4 frequency range.

Each of these antennas are designed for use with wireless adapters, access points and wireless gateways with Reverse Polarity (RP-SMA) male connectors, such as those found on the TRENDnet series of wireless solutions. With the addition of these new indoor 802.11a/b/g antennas and outdoor 802.b/g antennas to the already extensive line of TRENDnet 802.11a/b/g wireless solutions, users in the home and small to medium businesses are now able to get complete high-performance, affordable, end-to-end, wireless networking solutions all from TRENDnet.

• TEW-AI86DB Dual-Band 802.11 a/g 8/6 dBi Indoor Directional Antenna with Mounting Base provides at least 6dBi signal gain and over a 150 yard range. It has an SMA-female connector and comes with a multi-functional mounting base.
• TEW-AO08O Indoor / Outdoor Omni-Directional Antenna provides an 8 dBi signal gain and 800 yard range. It is made with weatherproof and corrosion resistant material for maximum durability and has an N-female connector. The antenna comes with a pole / wall mounting kit.
