01net, France's largest technology review site honored TRENDnet's 500Mbps Powerline AV Adapter Kit (model TPL-401E2K) with it Editor's Choice award and stated, “At 25 meters, TRENDnet's TPL-401E2k maintained connection speeds of 204 Mbps (25,5 MB/s) against 156 Mbps (19,6 MB/s) from Netgear's 500 Mbps solution. For reference, the best 200 Mbps kits reach only 9,5 MB/s, that is to say 76 Mbps. Most astonishingly, distance didn't degrade TRENDnet's performances much. At 100 meters, TRENDnet's TPL-401E2k maintained a 197 Mbps (24,7 MB/s) connection. At 150 meters, the connection speed was 132 Mpbs (16,6 MB/s), which is more than 41% higher than the best 200 Mbps kits on the market…TRENDnet's 500 Mbps Powerline kit…produced the best Powerline performance in our tests to date…We recommend TRENDnet's 500 Mbps Powerline.”
