Equipped with 5 UTP ports, TE-500 can be easily connected to 10Base-T cabling and offers a number of configurations depending on the user’s particular requirement. TE-500 is designed specifically for connecting small workgroups to a network. TE-500 can be powered through a PC’s keyboard power extractor or alternatively through a separate power adapter available from TRENDnet. LEDs are provided for network troubleshooting that indicate Power, Collision, Link, and Receive. TE-500 can be cascaded with other 10Base-T hubs, either by using one of its UTP ports or utilizing a transceiver for connection to coaxial cabling. This gives the user the opportunity to expand their network as their particular needs change.

TE-500 is ideal for small workgroups requiring simple connectivity to Ethernet networks. It can be used to setup temporary networks for projects such as presentations or audits, or to connect small offices, remote sites and home offices.
