Introducing the TRENDnet LAN Crusier 10/100Mbps Series: Dual Speed Stackable Hubs
TRENDnet (1/5/1998)

TORRANCE, CA - January 5, 1998 — Remaining on the cutting edge of networking technology, TRENDnet is introducing the TE100-D16 and the TE100-D8 unmanaged dual speed hubs. Each dual speed hub offers the user switching capabilities at hub prices.

Both large and small corporations face the challenge of trying to increase their network speed. Companies transferring big files while keeping up a rapid pace for high volumes of printing need Fast Ethernet. Hubs that only accommodate either 10Mbps or 100Mbps can’t always meet corporate networking needs. Dual speed hubs are ideal for meeting 10/100Mbps networking needs because each port has 10/100Mbps capability.

Like the switch, the dual speed hub offers 10/100Mbps auto negotiation, which gives the user the flexibility to still run 10Mbps on some networks. Available in 8 and 16-port versions TRENDnet’s 10/100 Stackable Hubs support IEEE standards-based 100BASE-TX topologies.

Easy bandwidth expansion is another feature of TRENDnet’s line of dual speed hubs. Unlike the standard hub, the dual speed hub has the ability for 10Mbps and 100Mbps segments to talk to each other simply by using a 10/100Mbps switch module. Users are then able to mix Ethernet and Fast Ethernet stations on the same network without needing to purchase an expensive switch.

TRENDnet’s LAN Cruiser Dual Speed hubs offer a flexible transition to Fast Ethernet performance for any size network. They help you move toward Fast Ethernet capability in a gradual, cost-effective transition, while gaining high quality performance in key network segments.
