The illustration depicts the connection of a PS/2 mouse and keyboard to a laptop using a USB adapter. Two PS/2 connectors, one for the mouse and one for the keyboard, are connected to a USB plug. This setup allows older PS/2 peripherals to be used with modern computers that primarily support USB connections.
