5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Powered EdgeSmart Switch with PoE Pass-Through, model TPE-P521ES, is powered by a PoE+ switch or injector, no AC adapter is required. It features two gigabit non-PoE ports, and two gigabit PoE ports to power devices such as IP cameras, VoIP handsets, and wireless access points. Reducing unnecessary switch complexity, this EdgeSmart switch is equipped with only the most commonly used managed switch features. The simple web-based user interface allows you to easily manage VLANs, QoS, and monitoring.

PoE+ Powered

No AC adapter required—this switch is powered by a PoE+ switch or injector, and features two gigabit non-PoE ports, and two gigabit PoE ports to power devices such as IP cameras

The illustration depicts a network setup involving VoIP phones and PoE+ devices within an office environment. Multiple VoIP phones are connected to a PoE+ powered device, which is then linked to a PoE+ web smart switch. The VoIP phones are shown in various locations within the office, connected via network cables to the PoE+ powered device, labeled as TPE-P521ES. The PoE+ web smart switch is highlighted, with network cables color-coded in orange to indicate the connection between the PoE+ powered device and the PoE+ web smart switch.
The visual content shows a TRENDnet PoE+ Powered EdgeSmart Switch, model TPE-P521ES. The front panel features five Ethernet ports. Ports 1 and 2 are labeled as Gigabit PoE PSE ports, providing Power over Ethernet to connected devices. Ports 3 and 4 are labeled as Gigabit ports, which do not provide PoE. Port 5 is labeled as a Gigabit PoE+ PD port, receiving power from another PoE source. The switch has indicators for PoE status and link/activity status above the ports. The left side includes a power indicator and a reset button. The TRENDnet logo is displayed on the top of the switch.

Ports

One gigabit PoE+ input port, two gigabit PoE output ports, and two gigabit ports provides a 10Gbps switching capacity

PoE Power

Two gigabit PoE pass-through ports with an 18W total PoE power budget

Compact Design

With a compact and lightweight housing design this switch is well-suited for desktop installations. Its fanless design is ideal for quiet environments that require silent operation.

Network Management

A broad range of network configurations on the PoE pass-through switch are supported by static link aggregation, 802.1Q VLAN, bandwidth controls, IGMP, loopback detection, port mirroring, STP, RSTP and 802.1p (CoS)

Troubleshooting

Traffic statistics and a convenient cable diagnostic test aid in network troubleshooting.

Housing

Compact wall mountable metal housing
